SLNG Next Generation Leaders (NGL) Program

SLNG Next Generation Leaders (NGL) program, designed to identify, train, network and empower a diverse group of emerging, character driven youth leaders from the Sri Lanka to take future leadership opportunities in SLNG. Applications for the 2019/2020 cohort are open 3oth June until August 15, 2019. Please contact us via info@slng.aisa to get more details. This program will be handled by prominent local experts. A partial list of confirmed speakers includes (ordered alphabetically).

Chanaka Kaluarachchi (BSc, MBA, Attorney-At-Law)
Chanaka has years of experience working as an IT / Law professional. He received his BSc degree from University of Moratuwa and MBA from Manipal University, India. Also he is an Attorney-at-law.
Srimal Andrahennadi (BSc (Hons) IT, MSc (UK))
Srimal obtained a BSc in Information Technology from University of Moratuwa (Sri Lanka) and a MSc in Enterprise Applications Development from Sheffield Hallam University (UK). His professional activities include Internet applications and systems development, cybersecurity and project management.


Travel Support to attend the 14th Annual IGF Meeting

The IGF 2019 Host Country, Government of Germany, will support eligible candidates from developing countries to participate at the 14th annual meeting of the IGF from 25 - 29 November in Berlin, Germany. The Call for applications will be open from 9 April to 30 June 2019. details


SLNG Offered Fellowship for Network Security Workshop
Lihini Senanayake

Congratulations! Lihini Senanayake from University of Moratuwa offered a full fellowship for training. Lihini Senanayake is a final year undergraduate of the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Moratuwa. She is currently reading for BSc (Hons) in Information Technology. She is interested in both computer security as well as network security. She hopes to continue her higher education in this field.



APNIC and SLNG collaborate to promote Internet in Sri Lanka

APNIC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sri Lanka Next Generation (SLNG) at ICANN52. Both APNIC and SLNG agree to cooperate and encourage the development of the Internet in Sri Lanka.
